Many parents are surprised to learn that newborn photography sessions are usually photographed within the first 2 weeks after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curl into those beautiful newborn poses.

Booking during pregnancy allows me to reserve space around your due date and ensure availability once your baby arrives.

Rather than booking a fixed session date, I reserve a space based on your due date and then finalise the session once your little one has arrived.

This gives families peace of mind and ensures flexibility if baby decides to arrive earlier or later than expected!

What Age Is Best For Newborn Photos?

For traditional newborn photography, the ideal age is between 5 and 14 days old.

During this stage, babies are usually sleepier and more comfortable in the curled-up poses that parents love.

That said, beautiful newborn photographs can still be created with older babies, so please don’t worry if your little one is already a few weeks old.
